When Criticism Becomes Dangerous: The Attack on Media Freedom and Freedom of Expression

On 19 February 2026 in Vienna, the Patriots for Europe Foundation hosted the conference "When Criticism Becomes Dangerous: The Attack on Media Freedom and Freedom of Expression." The event examined the growing political, regulatory, and technological pressures on journalists, media outlets, and online content creators, and their implications for freedom of expression and democratic pluralism in Europe.
