Digital Challenge for European Sovereignty
«DIGITAL CHALLENGE FOR EUROPEAN SOVEREIGNTY»
The conference "Digital Challenge for European Sovereignty" took place on October 22, 2025, at the European Parliament in Strasbourg. Organized by the Patriots for Europe Foundation, it examined the obstacles and opportunities related to the continent's digital autonomy in a context marked by the rise of AI, digital platforms, and data infrastructures. Thomas Fauré, founder and CEO of Whaller, presented his vision of secure and independent European innovation. The discussions addressed several major issues: the potentially stifling effects of the DSA and AI legislation, dependence on American and Chinese technologies, the "28th regime" project aimed at simplifying the framework for start-ups, and the Whaller model as an example of sovereign innovation. The event, followed by a cocktail, aimed to foster reflection on policy directions that would allow Europe to assert a digital sovereignty based on trust, competitiveness, and freedom to innovate.
