Europe's Ban on Internal Combustion Engines - The Future of Automotive Industry
The Patriots for Europe Foundation is organising a conference titled Europe’s Ban on Internal Combustion Engines: The Future of the Automotive Industry”. We would like to invite you to participate in our conference. The event will take place in Linz at Marriott Hotel Linz, Europapl. 2., 4020 Linz, Austria, on 3rd July.
The European Union’s planned ban on internal combustion engine vehicles represents one of the most controversial industrial policy decisions of recent decades. While presented as a step toward climate objectives, the measure has raised serious concerns regarding Europe’s industrial competitiveness, employment, energy security, consumer choice, and the long-term viability of its automotive sector.
The conference aims to critically examine the consequences of the planned phase-out of internal combustion engine vehicles and its impact on the future of European industry. We seek to explore the economic, technological, and social challenges associated with the transition, including potential job losses, increasing production costs, growing dependence on imported raw materials and technologies, pressures on supply chains, and the broader implications for Europe’s global competitiveness. We hope to facilitate an open and substantive discussion that will contribute to a better understanding of the risks involved and generate policy recommendations for a more balanced and sustainable approach to the future of mobility.
Join us afterward for a cocktail reception.
