Xavier Raufer is a French criminologist and essayist. He teaches at Paris-II Panthéon-Assas University, and is an expert on crime, terrorism and urban insecurity. He has published over twenty works on crime and terrorism, including one that won an award from the Académie française. He is a regular contributor to the press and television.
